Reservations & deposits

Spots are confirmed with a 30% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the trip, in cash or by card.

For the multi-day package, full payment is required at least 15 days before departure due to lodging arrangements.

Cancellations & rescheduling

• Cancel 7+ days before your trip: full deposit refund, minus any payment processing fees.
• Cancel within 7 days: the deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to a future trip within 6 months.
• If the captain cancels for weather or safety reasons, you get a free reschedule or a full refund — your choice.

Payment methods

We accept credit and debit cards, SINPE Móvil (for clients with a Costa Rican bank), and cash. Deposit links and payment details are sent by email or WhatsApp after booking.

Before your trip

• Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Let us know in advance about motion sickness, mobility limitations, or medical conditions so we can prepare.
• Basic swimming ability is recommended but not required for most trips.
• Please follow the captain and crew's safety instructions at all times — their call on route and weather is final.

What's included

Every trip includes professional gear and bait, ice, drinking water, life vests, and a certified crew. Specific extras (lunch, snacks, lodging) vary by tour — check each tour's details page.

Please bring: sunscreen, a hat, light clothing, and sunglasses. Cash for crew tips is appreciated but never required. Note: your individual INCOPESCA fishing license is not included — see the licenses section below.

Licenses & fishing regulations

Your trip price does not include INCOPESCA's individual sportfishing license — every angler on board needs their own personal license to fish legally in Costa Rica. You can apply for it online directly through INCOPESCA before your trip: Get your INCOPESCA fishing license →

Billfish (marlin, sailfish) are catch-and-release only, as required by Costa Rican law. Bag limits for other species follow current national regulations, which your captain will explain on board.

No fish, no guarantees

We fish real ocean, river, and mangrove waters — a great trip is very likely, but no catch is ever guaranteed. Our captains fish where the conditions and their experience say is best.

Photos & media

We may photograph or film your trip for our website and social media. If you'd rather not be included, just let your captain know before departure.
